Ashill Cider is a real cider producer based in Ilminster, Somerset.

The cider comes in plastic petrol can style bottles (I'm sure there's a proper name for 'em?), just pick which size you require. The label on the bottles says it is "Genuine Farmhouse Scrumpy, prepared from choice Somerst apples" and claims it is "Cider with a kick."

Directions: Come off the A358 Ashill bypass (Taunton - Ilminster) right into the village of Ashill. Opposite the church, you can’t miss it. Follow the signs. Grid Ref:182/322174.

  • Review 1: Whilst driving back 'oop nawf from Cornwall we saw a makeshift sign by the side of the road which said "real cider". When we arrived there was another sign outside an out-building which said "Please sound horn for cider".. so we did! We came away with some dry, medium and sweet! The dry tastes very good, pure and tasty, but the sweeter the cider the more astringent it seemed to be. All good stuff though and worth while purchasing. CiderMike 18:46, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
