Bridge Farm Cider
Bridge Farm Cider, Somerset
Nigel Stewart of Bridge Farm makes traditional Somerset cider at East Chinnock near Yeovil in Somerset where the soil is perfect for apples.
It's a full juice, award winning artisan cider, made at Bridge Farm for over than twenty years with a blend of many cider apples varieties, harvested from the farm itself and other traditional orchards all within a twenty mile radius.
The apples are pressed using traditional rack and cloth methods with a hydraulic press dating from the early nineteen hundreds.
The cider is fermented slowly and exemplifies the distinctive Somerset cider characteristics of rounded apple flavour and a satisfying astringency to give a true cider taste.
