Many Farmers Markets are a welcome shop window for craft cider makers. This list tells you where, when and who. If travelling, contact the producer first to check they will definately be there:

Bensons of Gloucestershire have a bottled cider made from Cookers and Eaters, and attend a number of Farmers Markets throughout England. Their website lists those they attend.


Berkshire

London

  • Borough Market Southwark (London Bridge tube) (Fri & Sat) - New Forest Cider, sometimes a perry and mulled cider during winter months. Bottled fruit wines and so on also available. Next to a pub, so drink there or carry home. The dry cider and the perry are both really good. They now have a permanent stall inside the market (Jan 06) rather than the thatched stall which they've used for some years.
  • Brentford Farmers' Market First Saturday of the month, Brentford Health Centre (next to B.R. Station) 9am - 1pm. Mr. Whitehead's Cider Co.
  • Islington There is a farmers market in Islington every Sunday, held at the top of Essex Road, across from the green. Real cider is occassionally, but not regularly, sold here. (Somerset Cider Brandy Company Ltd. seasonal visits)
  • Marylebone Farmers' Market a large market at Cramer Street Car park, W1 (Sundays, 10 am - 2 pm) (Somerset Cider Brandy Company Ltd. - seasonal visits)
  • Peckham Farmers' Market

Sundays 9:30am - 1:30pm Peckham Square, Peckham High Street, SE15 Bus; 12, 36, 171, 345 Rail; Peckham Rye, Queens Road (Somerset Cider Brandy Company Ltd. - seasonal visits)

  • Spitalfields Sunday Morning - Battle Cider, from Sussex
  • The Chiswick Farmers and Fine Foods Market

Is held on every Sunday 10am to 2pm in the setting of the Grove Park Farm House at Dukes Meadows Chiswick, adjacent to Chiswick House, and the River Thames. By bus, the E3 from Chiswick High Road or 190 from Hammersmith to Edensor Road Chiswick W4.
