Talk:Brothers Cider

reading the blurb about this stuff I get the distinct impression that it doesn't pass muster as "real" cider. Comments about "selected pear juice" and the carbonation make it all sound very chemical to me My impression is that Brothers products are simply another alcopop aimed at the underage market Anyone else care to comment or (dis)agree? JonS

I see that no-one has commented on this Its my view that in the absence of proof to the otherwise, the "Brothers" entry should be rewritten to reflect that their products are nothing more than chemical alcopops based on concentrated pear juice. I cannot see how their products are any different from *(for instance) Kopperberg The web page itself reads as an advertising blurb for Brothers - and in my view has no place on a website promoting real cider Comments anyone? This change demands a consensus - if anyone is interested JonSJonS 21:05, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Well where to start - historically, I suspect we have a pool of real cider fans whose first encounter was with Brothers cider at a musical festival. The article here was added by somebody who wrote the Wikepedia entry. We can and do have some pages about Industrial cider, but it's a good idea to point it out. So feel free to add some text to the effect that this is what it is, if indeed it is, but please try to do so in addition to what's already on the page rather than by replacing it. --Andy 23:27, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
