Mike just checking something - are you sure about the "Bruttons" takover? The major bewery in Yeovil was called Bruttons, and I'm just wondering if a reference has got confused. To the best of my knowledge they never made cider The brewery was taken over by Worthington and closed by them Error ? or two companies? JonS 18:03, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

• Well I knew about the company set up dates, the brands and the Matthew Clark take over but whilst filling in the gaps on a google search, I came accross ---> this which doesn't go into much detail although it say how "...thoughts turned to other markets during the 1960s, with the advent of pasteurising, cider - and draught beer became much more consistent". So I have no idea, I was hoping that in due course some ye olde knowledable cider chap would come along and add further information about Taunton Cider Co. CiderMike 07:23, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
