Hi

Im new to cider making but am some assembling kit, My question is has anyone used a garden shredder for milling apples? Ive just walked over to the recycling centre and there is a shredder in mint condition that can be completly stripped easily for cleaning, however the barrel/ blade support is made out of a zinc/ aluminium, as contact with this is transitory will this be ok? Please help?? Richard
