About

Walters takes its name from a barber's shop which traded in the same premises in the 1820s, sometime later it became Venn brasserie where you could buy a tiny piece of steak for about 25 quid!

Alan Murphy and Chrissy Fleming took over the building in 2007 and turned it into a contemporary bar selling real ale, continental beers and of course real cider.

Ciders

Starting with a rotation of the more common Weston's Old Rosie, First Quality, Bounds Brand, Herefordshire Perry and others on three handpumps, Walters moved onto stocking six, yes SIX real ciders in 2010 which is fantastic for a typically un-cider related city.

Some of the producers they have stocked so far include Hecks, Rich's, Solway, West Croft, Gwynt Y Ddraig, Wilcox, Ben Crossman's, Wilkins, Moorlands Farm, Ross on Wye and most recently I have collected some cider from Skidbrooke Cyder for them to sell. CiderMike 14:30, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Should you be in Hull it is well worth a visit, and is close to lots of other pubs in the old town.
