Welsh Perry & Cider Society was set up in 2001 to reignited the craft cider and perry industry in Wales by encouraging a greater appreciation of natural craft drinks, spearheading a new era of orchard planting and promoting Welsh perry and cider as an indigenous alternative to wine.

Their main event of the year is the Welsh Cider Festival held in May.
